“Her strikingly beautiful voice is distinctively Australian, and the smooth, soft tones of her music conjure images of the natural wonders she sings about.” Rave Magazine.

Born in the forest filled Blue Mountains of New South Wales and traversing many years throughout the land; from the tropical rainforests of Far North Queensland, to her latest home beneath the mighty Kunanyi Mountain in Hobart; wherever she goes, she finds herself surrounded by natural beauty that is a driving force behind her musical creations.

Shells creates deeply intimate, yet powerful folk-blues infused shows, singing stories of love, loss and land. With an outstanding vocal range, drifting between deep bluesy tones with effortless slide into falsetto, expect emotive lyricism, alongside funky, rhythmic guitar accompaniment. Shells can play to any crowd, capturing the audience with her excitement and moving them with her creative depth.

Shells has been working independently in the Australian Music Industry for 15 years; successfully touring the East Coast from Cairns to Tasmania; and internationally as far as England, Canada, and Northern USA; released two full length albums and one EP.

Her first EP Earth Whispers was released in Sydney in 1999, and self titled debut album Shells, released in 2003 featuring an array of Celtic style instruments including violin and cello, harnessing a traditional folk/pop sound. Shells moved towards Folk/Rock with her 2010 release, More to Life recorded in Far North Queensland in 2010, portraying a more upbeat side to her performance and writing.

As well as being a seasoned musical performer, Shells is also professionally involved in theatre, dance, event organising and training workshops.

Choreographer and performer in 'The Fireflies' a professional fire twirling troupe that incorporate a multitude of fire instruments, dance and music into spectacular performances. High-quality poi twirling workshops are also provided for both adults and kids. At Peats Ridge Festival in Sydney, these extremely popular workshops would overflow the tent every year!
Producer and actor in 'Crankit Theatre' a comedic theatre troupe that explores contemporary community issues. Along with fronting an exciting rock-reggae band 'The Black Cockatoos', who come with a huge sound and energy, delivering a vast range of styles that are mastered by this truly eclectic performer.

Shells goals are to continue performing with the intention of using creativity to find connection to ourselves, our family and friends, our communities and this beautiful planet we all share and call home.
